2025 – Scrolling
A Kinetic sculpture by Emma Browning
The sculpture is titled “Scrolling” to reflect the journey we have made from the tactile act of turning pages in books to the seamless scrolling of digital information today.
Audience participation is an integral aspect of this piece. So you are invited to physically engage with the sculpture by manually rotating the books on their axes. This interaction brings the pages to life, triggering a flickering, cascading motion that simulates the flow of information. The movement of the books reflects the boundless reach of knowledge today, where, in the age of AI and instantaneous digital access, information pours forth without limits.

2025 – The Spirit of Rollington in Stitches
The completed piece will be on display.
2024 – The Spirit of Rollington in Stitches
In 2024, Charlotte Fereday aimed to capture some of the spirit of Rollington in one large scale textile piece. She has been a Rollington exhibitor for the last few years and felt that there’s something magical about the way it springs up out of nowhere and becomes such a vibrant place for two weeks, and then gets packed away for another year.
Charlotte invited everyone who passed through to sit with her for one minute to be sketched, with all the sketches being incorporated into a massive stitched wall hanging.

2021 & 2022 – The Renewal Tree
The Renewal Tree began as an interactive installation, created by Sue Lansbury, which evolved over the course of the 2021 PAW Festival. Inspired by the work and ideas of PAW artist Jay Goulding, who died in 2020, this installation invited visitors to consider the positive, creative difference each one of us can make. In Jay’s own words ‘ We all have new histories to forge’.
In 2022 there was a new installation, also created by Sue, where the weaving so many visitors contributed to in The Renewal Tree installation 2021 were also on display. Visitors were invited to continue to contribute to the process.
