The Renewal Tree began as an interactive installation, created by Sue Lansbury, which evolved over the course of the 2021 PAW Festival. Inspired by the work and ideas of PAW artist Jay Goulding, who died in 2020, this installation invited visitors to consider the positive, creative difference each one of us can make. In Jay’s own words ‘ We all have new histories to forge’.
In 2022 there was a new installation, also created by Sue, where the weaving so many visitors contributed to in The Renewal Tree installation last year was also on display. Visitors were invited to continue to contribute to the process.
