Rollington Presentation and Exhibition
In 2016 we ran 15 workshops in local schools. The theme was Midsummer Dream.
Corfe Castle Primary Batik Workshop
We are making a Midsummer Dream wall-hanging using batik wax resist. We designed our motifs in our sketch books. We were inspired by plant and animal shapes and patterns. We then carefully marked out our designs onto white fabric squares using hot wax in a copper tjanting tool. We finally filled in the pattern using bright batik dyes. Our wall-hanging will be on display at Rollington Barn as part of Purbeck Art Weeks 2016.
The Swanage School & Purbeck Day Centre
Year 8 students from Swanage School volunteered their time to work with residents at Purbeck Day Centre this morning to paint their ‘Dream Bunting Flags’ for Purbeck Art Weeks Festival.
St George’s School
St George’s School in Langton Matravers made paper capes created with the theme of Midsummer Dreams for Purbeck Art Weeks.
