Artist’s Statement:

“As an artist with autism I find it easier to express my feelings through my creations and paintings than trying to communicate with words and language.
I am drawn to the eyes of animals because they are expressive and beautiful.
When I am painting I feel relaxed and positive and I am able to communicate through my art, how I feel about the world around me.
When I was a small child my mother and grandmother took me to many different galleries and exhibitions where I first saw Leonardo Da Vinci, Francis Bacon, Van Gogh and Rembrandt whose self-portrait I regularly visited as a child.
I love pottery and ceramics especially the feeling and texture of clay on my hands and the ability to create multiple shaped three dimensional oil lamps.”
