Artist’s Statement:

I have always loved the glorious sea and landscapes in my local Purbeck. I like to share the drama of what I see on my daily walks. My paintings attempt to capture the colours and atmosphere around us and allow me to immerse myself in the outside world, even when indoors! I began painting as a teenager, with acrylics. Later in life I learned techniques with watercolours. Following tuition at Newlyn School of Art, I am inspired to mix media, which I feel adds depth to the images.
