2024 Concerts & Events Highlights
2023 Portrait Artist of Purbeck – Live Art Event
This was held in the Community Room, The Mowlem, Swanage, BH19 1DD
Portrait Artist of Purbeck was a compered live event, in which leading Dorset artists Jack Dickson (painter and Sky Portrait Artist of the Year 2020), Tony Kerins (artist/illustrator), and Suzy Wright (textile artist) paint a local notable character in front of an audience.
Swanage resident Will Boyd from East Enders was the mystery sitter!
PAW 2022 Summer Festival Launched in Style
What has become a PAW Summer Festival tradition, the Gabrieli Players and Soloists start to the Festival was a resounding success. On this occasion it was a Bach celebration, and after the Sinfonia BMV 1045, director Paul McCreesh introduced the first work, the Missa Brevis in A major, BMV 234. The Kyrie and first section of the Gloria were competently delivered by the full ensemble but for me it was the Domine Deus with bass Malachy Frame where it came alive, with its simple . . . click here to continue reading.

Chamber Music Recitals 2021
In February, March and April 2021 we joined Miranda Fulleylove and her fellow musicians as they explored the music of Beethoven.

Virtual Events 2020 – In 2020 our whole Festival went online due to the Covid-19 Pandemic. We put together a number of musical sequences to showcase some of the performers, who were looking forward to being with us at PAW 2020. They found all their concerts had been cancelled and were so grateful that, thanks to our support and the wonderful generosity of our Festival Friends, they received at least some funding to help them.
