Artist’s Statement:

“Katy Harrald is a traditional pencil artist and illustrator based in Dorset specialising in highly detailed wildlife and botanical
artworks.

She was raised in the New Forest and along the South Coast. As such, her work has evolved naturally to become a celebration of British nature and coastal treasures.

Katy discovered her love for pencil and graphite whilst studying for her degree in Illustration at the Arts University Bournemouth. Adoring their simplicity, and ability to produce complex detail and
atmosphere.

Since graduating in 2014, Katy has exhibited work both in the UK and abroad. Producing work for solo shows, group exhibitions, charitable organisations, international
magazines, books, and private collections.”
