“ABOUT THE ARTIST
Karen’s interest in glass began during a visit back to her native New Zealand. A Guest House she stayed in was adorned with fabulous pieces of Glass Art. She soon started collecting herself.

She began researching Fused and Blown Glass courses and signed up for her first course in 2014. She opted for concentrating on Kiln Formed Fused Glass. Her passion for Glass Art has continued to evolve ever since.

INSPIRATION
Karen’s inspiration comes from her love of vibrant colours and geometric design, the latter stemming from her passion for the Art Deco era. Whilst still exploring the many techniques available, her portfolio is constantly expanding. She is keen to retire in order that she can concentrate fully on pursuing her passion in Glass.

Her Studio has been converted from 3 disused stables, with fabulous countryside views. Within the workshop is a Gallery displaying her work.
