“Janine grew up in the Isle of Purbeck and lives with her young family near Corfe Castle.
Her uplifting watercolour paintings are inspired by the local countryside and coastline, nature and wild places. She has a number of animals who also sometimes make an appearance in her paintings!
Janine went to Art College in Bournemouth when she was 16 and after travelling around the world when she was 18 went on to do a BA Hons in Illustration at Swansea. This led to working as an in house designer for greetings card publisher, Design Collections for around 3 years.
She then made the decision to go self employed and set up her own business as an artist/ illustrator, which she has been running for around 17 years.
Today she sells her original art, prints, cards and gifts through her online shop, at art exhibitions, fairs and through outlets such as National Trust shops as well as many independent shops and galleries.
Janine also carries out commissions and enjoys bringing peoples ideas to life!
During Purbeck Art Weeks Janine is welcoming people to her studio in Rempstone where you’ll find her working on new paintings.”
