Artist’s Statement:
“Helen Hayek is an installation artist based in rural Dorset, specialising in contemporary sculptures that connect deeply with audiences. Her work often incorporates metal, ceramics, reclaimed materials, and natural elements, and occasionally integrates sound, lighting, and projections to create immersive experiences.
Helen’s art is driven by a desire for connection, exploring themes of resilience, transformation, and human relationships, often infused with dark humour and complexity. Alongside her personal practice, she is a skilled ceramicist who shares her passion through accessible pottery workshops, creating opportunities for others to explore their own creativity in a welcoming environment.
Collaboration is central to Helen’s work, and she has participated in numerous projects, including public art installations and commissions, such as those with Bournemouth Council and artist Doug Fishbone. She thrives in both independent and team-led initiatives, bringing big ideas to life with professionalism and creativity.
Helen’s work is ideal for gallery exhibitions, public art projects, festivals, and private commissions. Whether creating a one-off installation or leading a creative workshop, Helen is committed to fostering connection and inspiring others through her art.
