Artist’s Statement:

Enthusiast of stop-motion model animation (often called “claymation”) since 12 years old. Sold my trainset to buy my first 8mm camera. Originally used to bring dinosaurs and other extinct animals to life. Now that role has been hijacked by CGI and I have spread my stop-motion techniques to more varied and artistic goals. The art-form is a combination of modelmaking, photography and patience. With the advent of digital cinema I am now lucky to have the magnificent REX Cinema as a showcase for my art, parodying famous film title sequences and iconic scenes (not to mention local promotions and staff caricatures), and I can use it to bring a bit of fun and welcome to our treasured audience.
