Artist’s Statement:

“Growing up in the Isle of Purbeck, I developed a deep connection with nature and the landscape around me. This early appreciation for the outdoors has shaped my journey as a landscape photographer, inspiring me to capture the ever-changing light and textures of the natural world.

I studied photography at school and art college, but my real education has come from years spent in the field, exploring familiar and far-flung landscapes. While Dorset remains a constant source of inspiration, I am particularly drawn to colder environments. Scandinavia, with its vast wilderness and ethereal light, has been a recurring theme in my work.

Beyond photography itself, I am passionate about the art of fine art printing. The print is the final expression of an image, and I take great care in ensuring that each piece reflects the depth and detail of the original scene.

I also love sharing my knowledge through workshops and tuition, helping others develop their skills and deepen their connection with the landscape. Whether at home or travelling, photography is not just my profession – it’s my way of seeing, experiencing, and sharing the world.”
