“Aline has a background in kilnformed glass. After studying post graduate courses in glass at Central St Martin’s she set up her studio in London in 2001. Making glass for chandeliers and wall lighting and vases mostly to commission. She has been selling through The Boilerhouse Gallery in Corfe Castle and the Grange Gallery in Creech in Dorset and through craft fairs in London. Since covid she is spending most of her time in Dorset and has reconnected with her previous passion for textiles. She studied Fashion Design in Holland in the eighties, working mostly in knitwear and print in Italy, India and the UK.
She produces a range of vibrant velvet cushions, silk scarves and paper wall pieces using the cyanotype (sunprinting) method of printing with botanicals and sunlight. Commissions for upholstery fabric are possible as are larger wall pieces. She runs residential workshops in glass and also in cyantoype at West Dean College near Chichester.”
